ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Sean Smiley (Erie, PA/McDowell) of the men's basketball team, led the Bulls in scoring in two of their three wins on the week. He scored a career-high 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 5-for-5 from beyond the arc in the Bulls’ win over Tulane. He scored 14 points with four three-pointers and a career-best seven rebounds in UB’s win over Evansville. For the week, Smiley shot 10-of-12 from three-point range.

Andrea Lehner (Lockport, NY/Orchard Park) of the women's swimming team won three individual events and was part of two winning relay squads as the Bulls finished second at the Zippy Invitational. Lehner broke the school record in the 100-yard backstroke, winning the race in 56.27 seconds, eclipsing Inger Rooneem's record (56.83) from 1998. Lehner also set a meet record in winning the 200-yard individual medley in 2:04.37.
