Athletes of the Week - 11/30/1998

In the UB men's home opening win, sophomore Nikolai Alexeev (Minsk, Belarus/Belarus Sports Academy) set career-highs with 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds. He also blocked a career-best six shots in the 49-48 win.

Mari McClure (Rochester Hills, MI/Rochester Adams) led the women's basketball team to a 2-1 record on the week and was named to the Rutgers All-Tournament Team. She averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game on the week and averaged 13.5 points per game at the Rutgers Tournament.
