Athletes of the Week - 11/23/1998

In the UB men's swimming team's narrow, 123-108, victory over Oakland University, John Nilles (Staten Island, NY) led the Bulls with first-place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle (21.25), and the 100-meter freestyle (46.83). He was also a member of the winning 400-meter freestyle relay squad (3:10.89).

Last week, the undefeated women's basketball team was led by sophomore Tiffany Bell (Alexandria, VA/Hayfield) who scored 16 points and added six rebounds against Niagara. She also had 15 points against Rhode Island.
