ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Harold Sherrell (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) of the wrestling team was undefeated in his three matches on Saturday. Sherrell, wrestling in the heavyweight classification against competition more than 50 pounds heavier in some matches, scored a technical fall and a disqualification win. He also earned a 2-1 win over the NWCA/Intermat/NWMA's 17th-ranked wrestler, James Spaid of Bloomsburg.

Heather Turner (West Seneca, NY/Mount Mercy) of the women's basketball team averaged 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in UB's season-opening games against Canisius and Syracuse. Against Syracuse, Turner, last season's MAC Freshman of the Year, led the Bulls with 22 points while grabbing nine rebounds. Turner led the Bulls with 10 boards in the opening game against Canisius.
