ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

James Starks (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) of the football team set career highs for carries (24), yards (162) and touchdowns (3) in UB's 41-14 victory over Kent State. Starks, a redshirt freshman, gained 140 of his rushing yards in the second half as UB scored 38 points to erase a 14-3 halftime deficit. The three touchdowns scored is tied for fifth in UB history for a single game. Starks also had a career-long 54-yard run in the third quarter.

Nikki Morzenti (Safety Harbor, FL/Clearwater) of the women's volleyball team accumulated 28 kills to lead the Bulls to a weekend split of Mid-American Conference matches. Morzenti, a senior, also added 22 digs and three blocks in the two matches. In UB's three-game win over Akron, she tallied a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs while adding two service aces.
