ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Athletes of the Week - 11/02/1998

Junior forward Steve Butcher (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) led the men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Western Michigan on Sunday (11/1) as he scored both goals. In the victory the All-America candidate tied the school record for most goals in a season (16), most points in a season (39), and most career points (75).

Junior Inger Rooneem (Hinton, Alberta/New Westminster Secondary) took first place finishes in the 100-meter butterfly (58.95), 100-meter freestyle (53.07), and the 50-meter freestyle (53.07) to lead the Bull's women's swimming team to a 207-90 win over visiting Niagara on Thursay (10/9).
