Athletes of the Week - 11/01/2004

Dan McKenna (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) of the men's cross country team scored a 26th-place finish to lead the Bulls at the MAC Championships. McKenna completed the 8K course in 26:17.20, an improvement of five seconds from last season's league meet where he finished 59th. McKenna helped the Bulls move from last season's 10th-place showing to a seventh-place finish.

 

Jenny Koeppel (Amherst, NY/Amherst) of the women's cross country team won the MAC individual cross country title at the league championship meet. Koeppel won the race in 17:51.70, seven seconds faster than the second-place finisher, earning the senior All-MAC honors. She also led the Bulls to their best-ever finish at the meet, a fourth-place showing, an improvement of five spots from last year.
