ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Andrae Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica/DeWitt Clinton) of the men's soccer team scored the game-winning goal in UB's 1-0 win over 19th-ranked Northern Illinois. Clarke netted the winner with less than five minutes to play in the contest, handing the Huskies a loss and giving the Bulls their first win over a ranked opponent since 1997. He leads UB with eight goals this season and is one shy of tying his career-high of nine set last year.

Andreea Novaceanu (Bucharest, Romania/Emil Racovita) of the women's tennis team moved into the quarterfinals of the ITA regional tournament, the farthest any UB player has advanced in the prestigious competition. After earning a first-round bye, she scored straight-set victories in the second and third rounds. Her 9-1 record this season gives her 55 career singles wins, tying her for second on the all-time list.
