Athletes of the Week - 10/22/2001
Dave Pidgeon (Dorval, Quebec/Bishop
Whelan) of the men's soccer team scored the game-winning goal
in UB's 2-1 victory over Bucknell on Sunday. Pidgeon also picked up an
assist in the Bulls' 2-0 win over Binghamton as UB finished 2-1 for the
week. Pidgeon is tied for the team lead with three goals this season.
Molly Schrantz (Depew, NY/Lancaster)
of the women's volleyball team had a career-high 11 digs against
Kent State and a team-high 8 kills against Akron in the Bulls' weekend
matches. Schrantz is currently third on the team with 104 kills this
season and fifth with 118 digs.
