Athletes of the Week - 10/16/2000

Rick Stewart (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) of the men's cross country team was UB's top finisher at the UB Invitational. Stewart placed second overall, behind an unattached runner, and was one of three Bulls to cross the finish line of the eight kilometer race in the identical time of 26:10.7. The Bulls earned a tie for the team title with Cornell in the meet.

Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) of the women's soccer team earned the shutout in goal needing only two saves as the Bulls defeated Ball State 2-0 in Muncie, IN. The shutout was the fourth by Adams this season and the seventh by the Bulls. She now has 21 shutouts in her four year career.
