Athletes of the Week - 10/11/2004

Mirnes Biscevic (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) of the men's soccer team scored two goals, including the gamewinner 1:41 into overtime, to give the Bulls a 2-1 victory over Bowling Green on Sunday. The goals were the first for the senior midfielder this season. The win over the Falcons was Buffalo's first MAC win since beating Kentucky 2-1 on Oct. 20, 2002, a stretch of 11 games.

 

Natalia Crofut (East Aurora, NY/Iroquois) of the women's soccer team figured in all three goals over the weekend as the Bulls tied defending Mid-American Conference champion Western Michigan, 2-2, and fell to Northern Illinois, 2-1. Crofut scored a goal and assisted on the other in the tie against the Broncos. She scored a first-half goal against the Huskies. Crofut, a junior, has 12 points on the year, the third year in a row she has reached that mark.
