Athletes of the Week - 09/21/2009

Jacob Hagen (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) of the men's cross country team finished fourth among a field of 107 runners at the UB Stampede Invitational. Hagen turned in a clocking of 25:59 for 8K, the Bulls' first competition at the distance this season. The Bulls, ranked 15th in the USTFCCCA preseason poll, finished second to MAC rival Akron by one point in the team standings.

 

 

Marisa Hornbaker (Colorado Springs, CO/Colorado Springs Christian) of the women's volleyball team netted a new career high in kills this past week as she recorded 22 against Syracuse. Hornbaker finished tops on the team with 50 kills this past week as she helped lead the Bulls to the Cornell Invitational title. Hornbaker is second on the team with 116 kills and 10 service aces.
