ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Dan Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame) of the men's soccer team recorded two shutouts in leading the Bulls to a pair of victories at the Georgia Southern Kick-Off Classic and earned All-Tournament honors. Bell needed just six saves to defeat Centenary, 7-0, on Saturday and Western Illinois, 3-0, on Sunday. He also added a victory over local rival St. Bonaventure as the Bulls downed the Bonnies, 3-1. With the Bulls off to a 7-0-0 start, he has allowed four goals this season for a goals against average of 0.57 while earning four shutouts.

Amy Brown (Pittsburgh, PA/Lebanon) of the women's volleyball team led the Bulls to a 3-1 record on the week, including a second-place finish at the West Virginia Classic over the weekend where she was named to the All-Tournament Team. In UB's four matches for the week, the senior setter, averaged 11.06 assists, 2.82 digs, 0.71 kills and 0.65 blocks per game. She had a double-double in assists and digs in each of the four matches.
