Athletes of the Week - 09/09/2002
Andre Forde (Penfield, NY/Penfield) of the football team had three touchdown receptions in leading the Bulls to a 34-11 victory at Rutgers. Forde finished with 165 all-purpose yards for the game. Two of his acrobatic touchdowns in the second half sealed the game for the Bulls. Forde finished the game with five receptions for 75 yards and added 90 yards in kickoff and punt returns.
Melissa Burrows (Norwood,
NY/Norwood-Norfolk) of the women's cross country team finished
in fourth place in a 42-runner field at the season-opening Tommy Evans Invitational in Akron, OH.
Burrows completed the 5K course in a personal-best time of 18:34 and shaved more than 40 seconds off of last
season's mark at the same meet when she finished 10th in 19:36.90.
