Athletes of the Week - 04/28/2003
 Kyle Swiatocha (Forest Hills, NY/Holy
Cross) of the baseball team pitched a complete-game victory
in his first career start in leading the Bulls to a 19-1 win over crosstown rival Canisius in the first game of
a doubleheader on Wednesday. The senior righthander allowed just a first inning run while scattering six hits
and striking out a career-best five.
Andrea Sage (Depew,
NY/Depew) of the softball team earned her first career shutout in her only
appearance during the week, a 1-0 win over Miami in game one of Saturday's doubleheader that snapped the
RedHawks' nine-game winning streak. Sage, a senior lefthander, allowed just six hits (five singles, one double) and
struck out six in the complete-game shutout.
