James Kingsley (Medina, NY/Medina) of the baseball team led the Bulls to three wins, including two against Atlantic-10 playoff hopeful St. Bonaventure by hitting .632 (12-of-19), scoring six times, with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs. Slugging at an .895 pace, Kingsley went 5-for-8 in doubleheaders against St. Bonaventure and Ohio, including a four-hit game against the Bonnies. He also scored the tying run after doubling in a run in the Bulls’ come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Bobcats on Friday.
Kristen Ortman (Amherst, NY/Amherst) of the women's tennis team went 3-0 in singles and doubles play as the Bulls clinched a second-place finish in the Mid-American Conference, UB highest-ever MAC finish by a men's or women's tennis team. Ortman won her UB record 59th singles match with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Ball State's Katie Owens to clinch the 5-2 win over the Cardinals. Ortman is 19-5 in singles and 17-8 in doubles play this season.
