ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Athletes of the Week - 04/24/2000

Mark Esposito (Fairport, NY/Fairport) of the baseball team picked up a victory in relief as the Bulls defeated Duquesne 6-5, their first win at Dunn Tire Park. The freshman right-hander pitched four innings allowing just one hit to claim his first career win. Trailing 4-0, Esposito held the Dukes in check as the Bulls mounted a comeback rally to take the win.

Melissa Ryan (Oswego, NY/Oswego) of the women's track and field team was a double winner in the UB Invitational leading the Bulls to a 355-118 win over Canisius. Ryan took first place in both the 100 high hurdles (14.21) and the 400 intermediate hurdles (1:02.67).
