Athletes of the Week - 04/23/2001

Eric Huber (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) of the baseball team went 9-for-17 (.529) with a home run and seven runs batted in as the Bulls went 3-2 on the week defeating Niagara, 11-7, and splitting a four-game series with Ohio. Huber went 4-for-5 at Niagara rapping a pair of doubles in the contest. He had a three-run homer in the Bulls' 7-3 win over Ohio. Huber leads the team with a .392 batting average and 56 hits this season and is second on the club with 31 RBIs.

The Novice Four crew team of Sara Sheffer (Ft. Edward, NY/Colonie), Mary Conniff (Camden, NY/Camden), Tracy Torelli (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville-DeWitt), Tracy Clarke (Mt. Sinai, NY/Rockford (MI)) and coxswain Katie Johnson (Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels) won their race at the SUNY Championships at Owego, NY with a time of 6:41. This is the first SUNY Championship won by a Bulls' squad.
