Athletes of the Week - 04/16/2007
Yules Hadisubroto (Jakarta, Indonesia/SMUN 21) of the men's tennis team scored a pair of third-set victories to help lead the Bulls to three victories over the weekend. Hadisubroto trailed Northern Illinois' Jimmy Chu, 3-0, in the final set before winning the next six games for the 6-3 win. He then scored a 6-0 third-set win over IPFW's Arturo Salgado. He is 18-13 in singles play this season and has won his last five singles matches.
Tina Villa (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) of the women's track and field team won the women's discus and finished second in the women's shot put to help the Bulls to a third-place finish at the Miami Invitational. Villa won the discus with a toss of 138-0 (42.06m), defeating teammate Sarah Vance (Lockport, NY/Lockport) by more than six feet. She finished second to Vance in the shot put at 44-3.50 (13.50m).
