Brendan Dunford (Buffalo, NY/Timon/St. Jude) of the baseball team struck out 11 in recording a complete game in a 3-1 loss to defending Mid-American Conference Tournament Champion Miami. Dunford allowed just seven hits and one walk to pick up his first complete game of the season. The 11 strikeouts nearly doubled his season total of 13 in four previous starts this season.

Andrea Sage (Depew, NY/Depew) of the softball team went 2-0 for the week throwing complete-game victories over St. Bonaventure (4-1) and Northern Illinois (6-2). Sage allowed just two earned runs, eight hits and one walk while fanning seven in the two games as opponents hit just .157 against her. The win over Northern Illinois was Sage's first conference win of the year.
