ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Ezekiel Porter (Rochester, NY/East) of the men's track and field team won two individual events and was part of a winning relay team at the Miami Invitational. Porter won the 100-meter dash in 10.66 seconds, just two-hundredths of a second off the school record, and won the 200-meter dash in 21.90. He also helped the Bulls to a first-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 41.61, running the second of the four legs.

Diana Popescu (Alexandria, Romania/AL. I. Cuza) of the women's tennis team swept her singles and doubles matches as the Bulls defeated Akron, 7-0. Popescu defeated Akron's Lindsey Berry, 6-1, 6-3 for her 22nd singles victory of the season, tied for the team lead. She also teamed with Denise Harijanto (Jakarta, Indonesia) to remain undefeated in Mid-Amercian Conference play at first doubles. Popescu is a combined 41-9 in her singles and doubles matches this season.
