ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Mike Folli (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) of the baseball team went 8-for-17 (.471) in UB's four games during the week. In UB's 11-3 win over Canisius, Folli, batting leadoff, was 4-of-6 with a pair of runs scored and two runs batted in. He also collected two hits in Saturday and Sunday's games at Eastern Michigan, scoring runs in both contests and adding an RBI in the finale. For the season, he leads the Bulls with a .326 average and eight doubles and three triples.

Mary Russell (Apalachin, NY/Owego Free Academy) of the softball team hit 8-for-18 (.444) with a .524 on-base percentage and a pair of runs batted in including a home run in UB's six games during week. Russell, moved to the shortstop postition for the first time in her collegiate career and keyed UB's 7-4 victory over Toledo on Sunday with a three-for-four effort at the plate with her solo homer and two runs scored. Russell has raised her batting average to .284 and leads the Bulls with 27 hits, eight doubles and nine stolen bases.
