Athletes of the Week - 04/03/2000

Tom Januchowski (Depew, NY/Lancaster) of the baseball team pitched a complete-game one-hitter at Binghamton Sunday to propel the Bulls to a doubleheader sweep over the Colonials. Januchowski had a no-hitter going for the Bulls until giving up the lone hit to the first batter of the seventh inning. He also finished with seven strikeouts. Januchowski also picked up a win in relief earlier in the week as the Bulls downed Pittsburgh 3-2.

Biaunca McFarland (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) of the women's track and field team won the triple jump at the Ohio University Invitational. McFarland's jump of 38' 11 1/2" also set a new school record in the event breaking Alycia Croak's 1999 mark of 38' 9 3/4". McFarland helped earned the Bulls a third place team finish at the seven team meet.
