Athletes of the Week - 03/22/2004
 Kyle Cerminara (Lewiston,
NY/Lewiston-Porter) of the wrestling team became UB's first men's
Division I All-American when he placed eighth at the NCAA Championships in St. Louis. The junior went 4-3 in
the 197-pound weight class and finished the season with a 41-6 record, the most wins in a season by a UB
wrestler. He also finished the year leading the Bulls with 16 dual-meet victories, 64 dual-meet takedowns and 10
dual-meet riding time points.
Miglena Nenova (Rousse,
Bulgaria/Eurointellect) of the women's tennis team went a combined 6-0
in her singles and doubles matches during the Bulls' spring break matches in Florida. Nenova remained
unbeaten in dual-meet singles matches at 11-0, including a 7-0 mark at number one. For the season, she is 15-3 in
singles play and has combined with doubles partner
Kristen Ortman (Amherst, NY/Amherst) for a 15-2 record as
UB's top combo.
