Athletes of the Week - 03/08/1999
Wrestler John Eschenfelder (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-Syracuse) and men's swimmer Dan Hickey (Brockport, NY/Brockport) were co-athletes of the week for their performances at the MAC Championships in their respective sports.
Eschenfelder took first place in the heavyweight division, going a perfect 3-0 in the tournament and improving to 24-9 on the year. With that first place finish, he also qualifies for the NCAA Championships.
Hickey was a first place finisher in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.76.
He was also a part of the 400-free relay team that finished in fourth place.
