Rodney Pierce (Buffalo, NY/Hutch-Tech) of the men's basketball team scored a game-high 20 points with five rebounds and three assists against Akron. Pierce then had his best game of the season in UB's win at Ohio with 27 points, seven rebounds and an assist in Buffalo's first ever win at the Convocation Center. He scored eight of his points over the final 3:17 to help the Bulls erase a 10-point deficit.
Kourtney Brown (Solon, OH/Solon) of the women's basketball team averaged 27.5 points and 15.0 rebounds this past week for the Bulls. She converted on 72.7 percent of her shots from the floor (24-for-33). She recorded her second 30-point game of the season against Bowling Green and then had 25 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in a 20-point victory over Akron.
