Athletes of the Week - 03/01/1999
Alexei Vasiliev (St. Petersburg, Russia) led the Bulls men's basketball team in a break out game for him, scoring a game and career-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including five three-pointers. Buffalo lost against Ball State, 78-59.
At the MAC Championships for women's swimming and diving, Inger Rooneem
(Hinton, Alberta) was the top performer for UB as she placed third in
the 100 freestyle (52.13), fourth in the 100 backstroke (57.55), and was a
member of the third-place 200 medley relay team.
