Athletes of the Week - 02/25/2002
 Turner Battle (Kernersville, NC/East
Forsyth) of the men's basketball team had a career night in
leading the Bulls to an 87-62 win over Marshall. Battle scored a career-high 17 points and came close to
recording a triple-double, adding nine rebounds and eight assists. Battle also added five points and five rebounds earlier
in the week against Toledo.
Erin Lawrenson (Elkland, PA/Elkland
Area) of the women's basketball team came off the bench
to score a career-high 18 points on six three-pointers, including four in the second half, in UB's 81-54 loss at
Kent State. Lawrenson is currently among the Mid-American Conference leaders in three-pointers per game at
1.35, ranking 14th in the statistic.
