Nick Zieziula (Hamburg, NY/St.
Francis) of the men's tennis team won his singles and doubles
matches to lead the Bulls to a 5-2 win over Bucknell on Saturday at the Olean Racquet Club. Zieziula, a senior, picked
up his 64th career singles victory, defeating Bucknell's Asher Salam, 6-2, 6-4, and tying Fery Kasiman
(1999-2003) for the most singles wins in UB's Division I history. Zieziula is now 64-56 in singles play for his career.
Sarah Vance (Lockport,
NY/Lockport) of the women's track and field team finished second in the
shot put and seventh in the weight throw at the Kent State Tune Up. Vance recorded a shot put toss of
47-10.50 (14.59m), just two inches off her season-best mark. She also improved on her ECAC qualifying distance in
the weight throw with a toss of 56-7.25 (17.25m), bettering her previous best by almost two feet.
