ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Mickey Moran (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler Area) of the wrestling team scored a 3-1 overtime victory over 16th-ranked Chris Honeycutt in UB's match at number-14 Edinboro. Moran, wrestling at 184 pounds, and Honeycutt battled to a 1-1 score through regulation time, as each earned an escape point. Moran then scored a takedown with 25 seconds remaining to score the upset win and improve Moran’s record to 29-7 on the year.

Heather Turner (West Seneca, NY/Mount Mercy Academy) of the women's basketball team averaged 16 points and nine rebounds in two games. Turner scored a season-high 20 points with nine boards in UB's contest against Western Michigan on Wednesday. Against Central Michigan, the 6-0 forward had 12 points, nine rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Turner leads the Bulls in rebounding at 7.6 per game while standing second on the squad in scoring at 11.7 points per game.
