ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Mike Ragusa (Foxboro, MA/Foxboro) of the wrestling team earned a pair of victories in UB's weekend dual meets against Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan. Wrestling in the 174-pound weight class, Ragusa scored nine takedowns in his 20-8 major decision over EMU's Don Funk. On Sunday, he posted UB's lone victory, upsetting 13th-ranked Brandon Sinnott of CMU, 5-4, in the third overtime of their bout.

Kristen Ortman (Amherst, NY/Amherst) of the women's tennis team won both her singles and doubles match in UB's 7-0 victory over Cleveland State on Sunday. Ortman paired with Natalie Dean (Feilding, New Zealand/Palmerston North) to defeat CSU's Kristin Chamberlain and Lindsay Sellers, 8-3. She then needed just 40 minutes to score a "double-bagel" 6-0, 6-0 victory over Jenn Myers at second singles.
