Athletes of the Week - 02/04/2008
Andy Robinson (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) of the men's basketball team averaged 22 points in UB's two games, both going to double overtime. Against Western Michigan, Robinson scored 22 points with six rebounds, two assists and four steals, including a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. He followed up that performance by scoring 22 points and adding four rebounds, two assists and three steals against Central Michigan, sending the game into a second overtime with a three-pointer at the buzzer.
Tiffany Maskulinski (Elma, NY/Iroquois) of the women's track and field team won the women's pole vault at Penn State's Sykes-Sabcock Challenge Cup. Maskulinski set an NCAA provisional qualifying standard and an indoor college best mark of 3.95m (12-11.50) to win the event. The Bulls finished seventh among 13 teams at the meet.
