Athletes of the Week - 02/02/2004
 Turner Battle (Kernersville, NC/East Forsyth)
of the men's basketball team averaged 23.5 points,
6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as the Bulls scored wins over Akron and Ball State. Against the Zips, the junior
guard scored a career-best 26 points, including four three-pointers, another career best. In UB's win over the
Cardinals, he tallied 20 points. Battle was also a perfect 7-of-7 on three-point attempts in the two games.
Kahla Walkinshaw (Hamilton, Ontario/Westmount
SS) of the women's swim team won four individual events and was part of a victorious relay team in UB's two weekend meets. Walkinshaw, a
freshman butterflier, won the 100-yard distance in 58.99 at Eastern Michigan and then took the event again at Toledo
in 58.80. Against the Rockets, she also won the 200 butterfly (2:07.96) and 100 freestyle (54.95) and swam
the second leg of the winning 800 freestyle relay.
