Athletes of the Week - 01/19/2004
Patrick Lee (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) of the men's swimming team won the one-meter diving competition in both of the Bulls' meets last week. Lee scored a season-best 274.95 points in UB's win over Niagara and then improved on that mark with a 302.17 showing against Ball State. Lee also had the top score in the three-meter event against the Purple Eagles as an exhibition entrant.
Jessica Kochendorfer (Allen,
MI/Quincy) of the women's basketball team set a school record and
tied a MAC record with nine blocked shots at Cornell in UB's 64-60 win over the Big Red. Against Cornell,
she added 11 points and 10 rebounds. In UB's win over Marshall, she posted her second consecutive
double-double with game highs of 24 points and 13 rebounds.
