Athletes of the Week - 01/17/2000

At 157 pounds, senior Jake Partlow (Kennonsburg, OH/Shenandoah) of the wrestling team went 2-1 over the weekend as he won in overtime over his Clarion opponent to set up Buffalo's 18-17 win over the Golden Eagles. He also defeated Tom Seryak from MAC opponent Ohio, 10-4 in the Bulls loss to the Bobcats. His only loss came aginst Edinboro's Ben Boozer, ranked 13th in the nation.

Freshman Katie Blazewski (Plymouth, MI/Detroit Country Day) of the women's basketball team scored a career-high 23 points against Kent State and led the Bulls in a 56-45 loss against Northern Illinois with 11 points.
