Eric Moore (Dover, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep) of the men's basketball team scored a career-best 35 points, including a school-record 11 three-pointers, in UB's 74-73 loss to Bowling Green. Moore finished 12-of-20 from the field, including 11-of-16 from the three-point arc, scoring the third-most points in a road game in school history. The sophomore guard is second on the team with 14.4 ppg and leads UB and the MAC with 46 treys.
Heather Turner (West Seneca, NY/Mount Mercy Academy) of the women's basketball team scored season highs of 24 points and 14 rebounds against Miami in UB's MAC opener and added 11 points against Bowling Green to average 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in the two contest. Turner converted on 14-of-15 from the floor, including a perfect 5-of-5 at nationally-ranked Bowling Green and was 6-of-7 from the foul line.
