ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Parnell Smith (Indianapolis, IN/Pike) of the men's basketball team averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds helping the Bulls to a 2-1 record during the Christmas break. In UB's victory over Liberty, Smith had 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. He added 19 points and five rebounds against Delaware State and scored 18 points with nine rebounds and four assists to help UB erase a 15-point deficit to defeat Siena.

Jamie Schiebner (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) of the women's basketball team picked up her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds in UB's victory over Bucknell, the Bulls' first true road win of the year. Schiebner, a sophomore forward, shot 6-of-9 from the field and added a pair of steals. In limited play this season, she's appeared in six contests averaging 5.3 points and rebounds per game.
