Athletes of the Week - 01/02/2006
Roderick Middleton (University Park, IL/Marian Catholic) scored 13 of his team-high 15 points in the second half to help the Bulls erase a 17-point second-half deficit and defeat Delaware
State, 56-51, on Friday night. Middleton hit three three-pointers, including one that gave the Bulls their first lead of the game with 4:12 remaining. He added six rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Heather Turner (West Seneca, NY/Mount Mercy Academy) averaged 18.0 points and 8.7 rebounds in the Bulls three games this past week. For her performance she earned her second MAC Player of the Week honor. Turner was named to the all-tournament team of the UTSA Wells Fargo Classic. Turner recorded a career high 25 points against Bucknell and added 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. Turner currently leads the Bulls in points and rebounds.
