I try to think about the game, who we're playing, think about the opponents and what we know about them. I listen to music too, but I don?t really have any superstitions or anything like that.
2. What are you most looking forward to in your last season in a blue and white uniform?
Just winning as many games as possible, playing well, and hopefully to winning a MAC Championship. It's been four years with out one so in my fifth year it would be nice to get one.
3.What do you think having 10 international players brings to the Buffalo soccer team?
I'm hoping it brings a lot of international flavor both on and off the field. Soccer around the world is a lot different than it is in the U.S. so having all different ingredients to add to that final recipe is good.
4.Who is your favorite professional soccer player?
I've got a lot of favorites but I would have to say Dean Ashton who plays in the Premier League for West Ham. He plays similar to me so he's probably someone I idolize.
5. What is your favorite thing about Buffalo/United States:
I like the food in the United States and the welcoming environment. And Buffalo specifically, the people are great and the snow in the winter is fun.
6. What do you miss the most from home?
I miss my friends and I miss soccer not being the number one sport, and not getting as much media attention. But I get newspapers sent to me from England so I can keep up with current affairs.
7. What is your favorite place on campus?
Alumni Arena because there is always something going on. It's just a place where there's always students and athletes and its just a good environment.
8. How has your injury from last season affected your outlook on this season?
It has made this season the number one thing on my mind. I had a lot of time to think about this season. I want to have no regrets and leave it all on the field because there's not going to be another one.
9. Is there a big difference between American soccer and European soccer/football?
There are lots of differences. The US players are less technical but more fit and strong, US players seem to be able to run around forever. European players are more technically efficient on the ball and they've grown up with soccer as a major part of the culture so they usually know more about it.
10. What has been your favorite moment at UB?
My sophomore year, coming so close to a MAC championship. Getting to the MAC final and losing on penalty kicks was a real kick in the teeth. That season we had a really strong team and a strong leadership core. Hopefully we can go one step further this year and win the MAC.
